Under the direction of artist Denise Chamberland, 14 volunteers completed stage 1 of the Niwot Road underpass mural restoration. Old flaky paint was removed and replaced with primer and the retaining walls on either side of the tunnel got a new top coat.
Stage 2 will be scheduled soon. Any artists wanting to help repaint the clouds, trees, and animals of the mural can send email to volunteer@niwot.org.
Huge thanks to all the volunteers that helped.
A lot got done in just 2 hours.
