This event is dedicated to and in memory of Neal Anderson a long time NCA board member, President, and organizer of the clean-up day in years past.

 

 

This is a service that is provided to NCA members, therefore to avoid public dumping non-members will be charged $40 per load.

Objectives:

  • Residential spring clean up of your home
  • Wildfire mitigation supported by Boulder County
  • Divert from landfill and recycle where possible

Tips for Clean-Up Day:

  • Please do not line up before 8am
  • Enter at the Niwot High School stop light only
  • Best time with the least traffic is 9:30am

Know the flow:

  • Arrival: A greeter will give you a waiver to
    review (preview)
  • Inspections: As you sign the waiver, your load
    will be reviewed
  • Check in: Your NCA membership will be verified
  • Payment / enter: See below for items requiring
    fees
  • Unload: Drive to the appropriate drop off and
    volunteers will help you unload
  • Exit: See the map for exit route that will keep
    things flowing smoothly

Accepted Items:

  • Yard waste (Tree limbs will be chipped by “Wildfire Partners”)
  • Household debris, furniture, metal
  • Computers, peripherals, electronics ($20 for TV’s larger than 30”)
  • Latex and Oil based paint, aerosols
  • Motor oil, anti-freeze
  • Batteries
  • Metal recycling
  • Styrofoam (Clean White Styrofoam, No Dirty Styrofoam, No Hot Tub Covers)
  • Plastic film bags
  • Mattresses & box springs ($10 for each)
  • Bicycles and Bicycles Parts
  • Car and Bike Tires, NOT ON RIM, No Tractor Tires

Rejected Items

  • No household trash
  • No cardboard or Aluminum (please take to 79th St. Recycling)
  • No glass or mirrors (we want to protect our volunteers)
  • No animal waste
  • No construction debris, drywall, fixtures, …
  • No refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers
  • No motorized equipment with gas or oil
  • No fluorescent bulbs
  • Break down large items
  • No waste from businesses

 

Limits and additional fees:

NCA Members:

  • First two loads are FREE
    1 Load = Standard sized pickup at bed level
  • Additional loads at $25 per load
    Compare this to $48 to $85 what Western Disposal would charge.

Non-Members:

  • $40 per Load

** Additional Fees:

  • LCD / LED TV’s: $20 each
  • Tube TVs: $20 each
  • Small electronics and computer monitors: FREE
  • Box Spring or mattress; $10 each
