National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes first responders and community partnerships with neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods better places to live. This is a nationwide event that is held annually on the first Tuesday of August. (natw.org).
Niwot is just one of several NNO sites sponsored by the Boulder County Sheriffs Office, which is partnering with the NCA for the fourth year in Niwot.
There will be free food, information booths, demonstrations, equipment and vehicles to explore. The participants are being finalized, but past events have had:
- Equipment and staff from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office
- Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Rangers and their Horses
- Longmont Emergency Unit
- Mountain View Fire
- Colorado State Patrol
- Emergency Response Units
- SWAT Team
- K9 Team
- Businesses & Organizations
- Niwot Semi Marching Free Grange Band and much more!
