Are you Looking to Engage your School Age children in local conservation activities?
Did you know the Boulder County ranger staff also leads a program for Boulder County teens called the Left Hand Outdoor Challenge? The program strives to engage Boulder County teens in conservation through challenging physical activities like rock climbing and winter survival, volunteer service, and career development. Our hope is to inspire the next generation of Boulder County park rangers, wildlife biologists, environmental engineers, and conservation advocates.

All Boulder County teens aged 15 – 18 are eligible to be part of the program. Teens can participate in the program for one year or continue until they graduate from high school. Interested teens must complete an application and participate in a short interview with ranger staff. Any teen interested in the outdoors and/or conservation is eligible, but they must be willing to commit to the program for a period of 9-months beginning in September.
