Boulder County will be planting trees, shrubs, and perennials at the newly landscaped trail head at the Left Hand Valley Grange Park in Niwot on Saturday, April 28th, from 9:00am to noon. The County would like a team 8 to 15 of volunteers from the community to help with the planting. If you are interested in helping, please sign up directly with Boulder County (see above).
This April 28th project will mostly involve planting the smaller plants (e.g., small shrubs and perennials) and mulching, so it is appropriate for families. The county will provide some tools and have some gloves, water and basic supplies. We encourage you to bring whatever personal items you may want or need.
It is important to note, this project will be open to the general public and it will be a first come, first serve availability. Please sign up at your earliest convenience. The county will limit the number of volunteers to a maximum of 15 for the April 28th project. If there are at least 8 volunteers by April 13th, the registration will remain open until all 15 volunteers slots are full. This project will be canceled if there are fewer than 8 volunteers registered by April 13.
Thank you for your consideration and participation.
