Proposal tabled, next steps
At the Boulder County Commissioner’s public hearing today on the proposed Niwot Public Improvement District, the petitioners requested that the issue be tabled because amendments to the petition could not be completed in time for the commissioners to vote. As a result, no public testimony was taken and the issue will resume this fall (see below).
There will not be a November 2025 ballot measure, but work will continue to try to get something on the ballot in 2026.

Next Boulder County Meeting
The tabled proposal will be revisited at a Boulder County Commissioner’s meeting on October 21. Once the format of the meeting is established, details will be sent.
Clarification
To address some confusion, the NCA is not part of the organizing committee for the petition to create a public improvement district in Niwot. We will continue our work of keeping our membership informed and send reminders of upcoming events.
