Planning Commission to review private marijuana code updates this Wednesday

 

The Boulder County Planning Commission public hearing this week with cover docket item DC-16-0002, updates to the codes that regulate private cultivation of marijuana.

The Boulder County Land Use department recommends that the Planning Commission APPROVE code updates that regulate the private cultivation of marijuana (this does not apply to commercial cultivation nor retail sales).

In summary the code changes are:

  1. Change the current 300 square foot limit (capacity for 100 plants) to 6 marijuana plants
  2. Prohibit use of flammable gases for THC extraction
  3. Prohibit any noise and/or odor pollution beyond the property line
