Updates on upcoming NCA events

We wanted to reach out and let you know the NCA continues to keep our members and our entire community in our hearts during the Covid-19 outbreak. We hope that you are staying healthy and practicing good social distancing. Given the current COVID-19 health crisis here are updates on upcoming NCA events.

NCA Annual Meeting – April 15th Cancelled

During our April NCA Board Meeting, we made the decision to cancel the annual meeting. We had tentatively planned to proceed with a live streaming event for NCA members to participate over the internet. Considering the severity of the COVID-19 virus and the limitations of an online meeting, we concluded that we should allow people to focus on their family and their health and cancel this year’s meeting. However, the election of NCA Board members will proceed with online and mail in forms.

NCA messages on the proposal to incorporate Niwot

In light of the current health crisis, the issue of Niwot incorporation seems somewhat inconsequential at this time. There are 3 messages remaining to publish in this series followed by a survey of our NCA membership and the public. We will resume the publications at a future time that seems appropriate.

Niwot Clean Up Day – May 16th Cancelled

During our April Board Meeting the Board weighed the viability of holding the annual Niwot Clean Up Day event, which is held at Niwot High School. We concluded that given the Colorado governor order for schools to stay closed until at least April 30, and the possibility of Governor Polis extending the stay-at-home order, we have cancelled Clean Up Day.
We recognize that this is a much appreciated event and will monitor the situation. We will make every effort to reschedule this event for the summer or fall. Stay tuned.

Fourth Of July Celebration

This event seems far away, but really it will be here before we know it. The Board has decided not to make a determination about whether it will be possible to hold this event. The next weeks and even months will guide us on whether it’s safe to hold our 4th of July Celebration. Look for an announcement in May.

Left Hand Valley Courier

We were saddened to learn that due to the current crisis the beloved Left Hand Valley Courier is moving to an online only format with subscription services. The NCA has always valued our partnership with the LHVC and we always appreciate their impartial reporting about NCA business. We would like to encourage you all to support this valuable local resource by subscribing to the online version of the LHVC or placing an online advertisement with them.

The NCA Board wishes you and your family a safe and healthy Spring. Thank you for your continued support. Be well.
