Kathy Koehler: Grand Marshal for the 4th of July parade

Kathy Koehler

Niwot 4th of July Parade Grand Marshal

Kathy Koehler

It is hard to find anyone in Niwot more connected to our community than Kathy Koehler.  After moving here in 1972, Kathy has injected herself into all things Niwot.  The list of volunteer positions from over the years is amazing especially when you consider that she raised two daughters as a single mother.

  • Niwot Community Association (NCA): Secretary and liaison to the NBA
  • Niwot Historical Society: Board member, membership chair, newsletter, and lecture committee
  • Left Hand Grange #9: Active member
  • Niwot Business Association (NBA): Rock & Rails committee, projects/events volunteer, and liaison from the NCA
  • Sculpture Park: Committee member
  • Niwot Community Arts Association:
  • Niwot High School: Booster club
  • Niwot Elementary School: Classroom helper, PTA, fundraiser
  • Sunset Middle School: National Honor Society volunteer and drama club supporter
  • Niwot Nifties 4-H Club: Co-leader

In 2014 Kathy was selected as a Left Hand Laurel and is the main conduit between the NBA, NCA, NCAA, Niwot Nifties, and more.  If you need a contact, Kathy probably has it or can easily get it.  Without her tireless efforts in and around Niwot local organizations would not be able to accomplish all that they do.
