Niwot Rural Community District

The Niwot Rural Community District (NRCD) is the commercial district in old town Niwot on Second Ave between Niwot Road and the railroad tracks.  There is an advisory committee, Niwot Design Review Subcommittee, that was formed at the request of Boulder County.  This nine-member panel was created specifically to serve as a local advisor on design and aesthetics to the county’s Historic Preservation Board.  It has no legal authority, it strictly submits advice for the county to consider.

Recent events have re-activated this committee.
